Urban lighting. Venice Square, Rome
Five are the most important streets of the Italian capital that cross the Campidoglio, in the famous Venice Square in Rome. The oldest, Via del Corso, dates back to 220 B.C. and follows one of the most important Roman consular roads. The square – as we see it today – owes its shape to the renovations of the area for the construction of the monument dedicated to Vittorio Emanuele II, completed in 1911.
Surrounded by three monumental palaces, it owes its interesting name to the fifteenth-century palace that became the seat of the Venetian embassy during the Renaissance.
It is from the Assicurazioni Generali building that Niteko lighting fixtures spread brightness over Venice Square, where you can breathe history in every corner.
Niteko solution
In order to increase the uniformity of the lighting in the square and achieve the energy savings required by the customer, the existing luminaires were replaced with the following 47 pcs. 134W LED floodlights:
- 26 modular floodlights with 25° symmetrical optics;
- 21 modular floodlights with 60° asymmetrical optics.
Niteko floodlights – supplied with color temperature of 3,000K 13,600lm and relative architectural bracket – have been designed to ensure uniform, efficient and safe lighting. In fact, their extreme versatility allows to combine up to 9 LED modules with different highly efficient optics, in order to illuminate systems of any size in the best possible way and to achieve maximum efficiency thanks to the absence of the primary glass screen, so guaranteeing performance up to 10% higher than other LED floodlights.
Lights are now warm and clear in Venice Square. CRI> 80 of Niteko products guaranteed greater color quality of both streets and facades facing the square.
Replacing the existing fixtures with Niteko floodlights ensured a power saving of over 50%, plus an energy saving of about 30,000 kWh / year, which is over € 5,500 / year.
Today, from any street you look out over the square, the enchanting and clear light of Niteko floodlights will act as a beacon, caressing the walls of the buildings with its warm tones and making the beauty of these timeless buildings of the Italian wonderful capital city shine more than ever.
