Niteko worked on the lighting redevelopment project of the Žabovřeská ring road in Brno, capital of the Moravian region and junction point of important roads and motorways in the Czech Republic, for which diversified lighting was designed to ensure safety and visibility in the different areas, according to their specific characteristics.
Niteko solution
In order to illuminate the Žabovřeská-Brno ring road, 187 pcs. of XS, S and M Guida lighting fixtures were installed, with wattages of 30-120W and colour temperatures of 3,000K. The lighting design diversified the lighting of the ring road according to the requirements of each specific road section: from multi-lane straight roads that need high visibility for the concentration of motorists, to pedestrian-accessible crossing bridges.
All Guida lighting fixtures have been arranged for Smart lighting thanks to DALI remote control devices. DALI is a communication protocol for digital control that offers convenient and intelligent lighting management. It can store several associated lighting parameter values and be controlled digitally. For example, for the automatic switching on and off of the luminaires.
The new lighting solution for the Brno ring road ensures both a future-oriented Smart project and safety of citizens, with both energy and maintenance cost savings guaranteed by LED technology and Niteko lighting fixtures.
