Tunable White
Tunable White is one of the most Innovation technologies in LED lighting, and is a key feature across the Niteko range of lamps. It allows you to adjust not only the brightness but, above all, the colour temperature of white light, shifting seamlessly from warm tones (2200–3000 K, similar to fire or incandescent light) to cool tones (5000–6500 K, similar to daylight).
Key Features
Colour Temperature (CCT) adjustment
This is the basic function: LED chips with different colour temperatures, integrated into the same luminaire, are electronically mixed to achieve the desired shade of white.
Independent Dimming
Light intensity (0-100%) can be adjusted independently of colour temperature, or in conjunction with it – as in Warm Dimming, where lowering the intensity automatically makes the light warmer.
Smart Integration and Automation
Urban Tunable White systems are almost always linked to remote management (using DALI or Zhaga protocols, or wireless IoT networks), which enables scheduled timetables, the use of environmental sensors and remote control.
Adaptation to Weather Conditions
Automatic adjustment for fog, rain and snow: amber light (2200K) to reduce backscatter, warm (3000K) against reflections on wet asphalt, neutral (4000K) dimmed to limit albedo glare
The Three Typical Adaptation Scenarios
The control algorithm operates on two parameters:
- intensity (dimming)
- colour temperature (CCT in Kelvin)
| Ora di Punta (Alta Sicurezza e Allerta) | Serata (Traffico Regolare e Comfort) | Notte fonda (Risparmio ed ecologia) | |
|---|---|---|---|
